Rudolf Meinl Custom 4/4 CC Tuba

The owner took delivery of this instrument at the Rudolf Meinl factory in Diespeck/Aisch, Bavaria in September 1985, and it has obviously been well cared-for during the past 33 years. The instrument, a convention show model, is hand-made of rose brass and nickel-silver alloy, and is the very best of the instrument maker’s art. The 18″ bell diameter has a nickel-silver rim, as well as prolific engraving, special solid nickel-silver bracing and nickel-silver valve casings, stop arms and other parts, including a 2nd valve slide trigger mechanism. The sound is profoundly rich and colorful, and I find the intonation and response to be very fine as well. The instrument has been carefully serviced here this past week, and is now being offered to the public. The instrument comes with two original mouthpieces, a Rudolf Meinl M-1 and an M-14, and the original Jacob Winter hard case……………… …………………………………………………………………………………………………………$14,000.00

Meinl-Weston F-Tuba – Sold

Meinl-Weston 45SLP F-Tuba, serial number 92259.   Upon play-testing this instrument, I find that it is more comfortable and has a much sweeter response than what I expected from a large-bore piston F-tuba.  The exquisite response allows this instrument to blend well in an intimate musical setting, as well as being capable of holding it’s own in a large orchestra.  The instrument is freshly-serviced, well-regulated, and dent-free.  There are only minor cosmetic imperfections in the finish of this outstanding player.  This tuba is equipped with a nice Altieri gig bag, complete with the piston pad, perfect for the working professional or serious student ……………….$6,295.00
